Set of six Louis XV hand carved, solid oak dining chairs. Crafted in the mid-century they were originally purchased at a shop in Brussels.Carved details include incised detailing and "floret" on chair back and seat front, sides, and cabriole legs. Chair frames are painted ivory with a purposefully patinated finish New taupe/beige upholstery over original hand tied spring construction. Each measures 39" high, 19" wide (facing front) 18" deep (front to back). Actual seat measures 17" wide x 16" deep. Chair rise is 20" from floor All six are in EXCELLENT condition. These chairs are SOLID and STURDY yet surprisingly light. Antiqued paint finish shows wear and tear commensurate with vintage use.
