Mid-century mahogany oval dining table attributed to Frits Henningsen. Unsigned, it was purchased from an estate with several pieces of signed Frits Henningsen furniture. This table sat in a dining room with a matching (signed) FH sideboard. Frits Henningsen was renowned for his innovative takes on 18th century furniture forms. From his studio in Copenhagen his team hand crafted remarkable works from the twenties until his death in 1965. Signed Frits Henningsen dining tables sell for $9500 and above. The crotch mahogany top has been refinished to a lovely gloss. Hence it's hard to capture its beauty via photography. VIDEO is available upon request. Table measures 63.75" long x 45" wide x 30.25" high. NO leaves included - however the original extension mechanism is in place. In very good condition with minor "dings" and marks on frame and legs commensurate with age. Some MINOR additional surface marks on table top's newer finish. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL PIECE.
