Gianfranco Ferre' was Dior's artistic director from 1989 - 1996. During this period he Instilled new life into the venerable fashion house. Expanding its luxury offerings to new categories including dinnerware. "Pied de Poulet" celebrates houndstooth - Christian Dior's signature pattern. Extremely rare - and therefore limited in availability - it was made and sold by Christian Dior from 1991 - 1993. Crafted of porcelain - each piece in this collection features a wide 24 carat gold outer band. Which is embellished with raised and incised Christian Dior monograms. The balance of each rim is decorated with a classic houndstooth pattern in platinum. The center ground of each plate and cup interiors are white. This thirty piece set consists of:
Six dinner plates - 11" diameter x 1" high
Six salad plates - 8.25" diameter x 1" high
Six cups - 4.5" wide (rim to handle) x 3.5" high
Six saucers - 6.25" x 1" high
