Standing at over four feet in height this Charles Edwards Lantern is a dramatic addition to any space. Charles Edwards Ltd. is a London Based, to-the-trade manufacturer. This lantern was hand made in their workshops with a patinated antique bronze frame, polished nickel embellishments, and custom faceted glass surround. Measures 49" high from the bottom of the base "balls" to the top of the hanging ring x 26.25" in diameter. Uses four 60W max standard socket bulbs. Includes matching 40" long nickel chain and a large Blake canopy in polished nickel. The fixture itself is In EXCELLENT vintage condition, with no issues of note beyond minor "dings" and tarnish commensurate with age.. With the exception of two barely noticeable small chips to one of the faceted glass panels (see photos for details). If ordered new, the cost for a replicate fixture plus the matching "Blake" canopy would exceed well over $10,000. Add to that a ten to fourteen week lead time. Plus the cost of shipping from the UK. Hence at this price this magnificent fixture is truly a BARGAIN.
