VERY RARE. Highly collectible Cantagalli faience and majolica was produced in Florence, Italy produced from 1878 through 1985. This vintage service for eight features hand painted overall floral pattern in rust on an ochre ground. Each with the distinctive Cantagalli "cock" symbol, "Italy" and the code numbers 2A on the reverse. Set includes 8 dinner plates (10" diameter), 9 salad plates (8" diameter) 8 cups (4" top opening diameter x 2,5" high) 8 saucers (6.5" diameter) and four handled soup bowls (4.75" diameter opening - 6.75" handle edge to edge x 2.25"H). ALL are in impeccable condition. No chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no surface scratches visible.
