Almost every buddhist home, business, or public facility has some sort of altar or shrine. Which houses a buddha, appropriate tributes, candles, and other symbolic elements. This vintage "butsudan" is or Asian origin. Constructed of solid wood with hand carved elements which have been stained and lacquered a deep red. Features a "hidden" pull-out shelf that runs its entire front length and extends to 14" beyond the cabinets original 20" depth. This unit can be hung on a wall and includes solid brass hanging hardware. While designed for religious purposes - it can be adapted for other uses. For example - the prior owner used it as a bar. 
 
Measures. 29" High x 30" wide x 20" deep. Note - the top carved pediment is hinged and conveniently folds down for a shipping height of 25".
