This hand carved console table features water gilding over gesso frame. Faux marble painted top. Unmarked and sans any label - we feel that this lovely pieces was in all probability created in Italy. And based on it's age and quality - sometime in the mid 20th century. Measures 44.25" wide x 30.75" high x 12.25" deep. Hangs on wall from two hooks. Truly a decorative tour de force - it is also practical in that it can fit in the tightest of circumstances. In very good vintage condition with minor marks, gilt loss, and "dings" commensurate with vintage age/use. There also appears to have been a repair made near the base. Which has no impact on this item as it is very sturdy and structurally sound.
