At almost seven feet long - this hand painted Chinese sideboard is not only beautiful but also provides ample storage. An excellent example of Northern/Mongolian polychrome lacquerwork. Front frame (plus sides) is red with contrasting green edging. Cabinet doors feature depictions for flowers, lotus blossoms, vases, and other symbolic items over a black background. Draw fronts are embellished with decorative elements over green. It's top being black. Six drawers with the two treated differently. Three cabinets with a pair of doors per reveal ample storage space with one shelf per section. Heavily patinated hardware on all doors/drawers. Measures 84" long x 34.5" high x 19" deep. In very good antique condition. Painted surfaces display a variety of "dings", marks, and wear commensurate with years of use. All of which only add to its charm and patina. Structurally this piece has no issues of note and is extremely sturdy.
