Lovely antique pair of 19th century solid brass andirons. This distinctive Georgian design features a "cannonball" top atop a turned and octagonal shaft which rises from double ball in claw footed base. Plus turned finials and footed return. Note that these are shallow and therefore fit perfectly with modern wood grates or gas log fittings. Each measures 11.5" wide x 22" high x 12" deep (rear extension). In very good antique condition with normal pitting, oxidation, and tarnishing commensurate with century plus age/use.
