The pair of amazing hand-carved alabaster lamps were designed by Italian modernist Maurizio Tempestini in 1947. Their inundating curves capture the power a burning flame - "Il Flamma". The lustrous alabaster literally glowing when the lamps are fully lit. Other pairs of this classic design have sold for $5000. Making this offer an exceptional value.

Both are missing their original bases. Their alabaster bottoms have intersecting carved channels which allow cords to be positioned on any of four sides. Both show residual evidence of prior green felt/adhesive lining beneath more recent round felt pads.

Each lamp alone stands at 26.25" from base to finial top x 6.5" wide x 4.75" deep. Both new rectangular white linen shades measure 10" high x 15" wide x 9" deep each.

In very good vintage condition. Structurally sound, both alabaster bodies show a variety of chips, marks, and cracks commensurate with age and use. Some of which appear to have been filled at some point in the past. Both bases have larger chips on their outer edges. See photos for details. Both lamps have been tested are fully operational.
