This rare Sarreguemines French fruit serving bowl is practical and chic at the same time. Deep relief ceramic features a background of leaves with groups of plums, grapes, strawberries, and pears. Glazed majolica in a deep range of gold, ochre, purple, red, and green hues.
Measures 9" x 9" square x 2.25" high.
In excellent antique condition. There is a fine UNDERGLAZE firing crack on one edge (see photos for details) which does not impact the structural integrity of this piece. Otherwise now chips, cracks, or breaks of note. Slight glaze crazing in some areas. See photos for details.
